The Hydromover 2.0, designed by Incat Crowther for Yinson GreenTech's marinEV, officially entered service in Singapore in early 2026, marking a significant step in the decarbonisation of Singapore's harbour craft fleet. Building on the prototype Hydromover 1.0 — Singapore’s first fully electric cargo vessel launched in 2023 — the Hydromover 2.0 boasts a 50% increase in cargo capacity, a 75% larger deck, a threefold increase in operational range, and a charging time of under two hours, enabling full coverage of all anchorages within Singapore's port limits . Integrated with advanced digitalisation features including real‑time analytics, route optimisation, collision detection, and automated vessel management systems, the vessel sets a new benchmark for zero‑emission cargo operations and provides a replicable commercial model for port decarbonisation.

CATL, as the world’s leading developer of high‑safety, long‑life LFP battery systems, is the provider and integrator of power battery system for Hydromover 2.0. The commercial success and global scalability of projects like Hydromover 2.0 further highlight CATL’s essential role in accelerating the worldwide transition to zero‑carbon waterborne transportation.
